Courtney Smith began working at SWY Machine in 2012. She is the Office Manager and ensures successful shop routing procedures are in place and traceability is maintained throughout the machining process. Courtney graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006. She enjoys spending time with her family and Aggie football.
Nora Swyden, Vice President, begin working at the shop in 2007 and manages the shops accounting and finances. Previously, Nora worked in the public school system for 14 years. In her spare time, she enjoys spoiling her grandsons and weekend trips with Doug.
Douglas Swyden, President, was drawn to the field directly out of high school, working as a machinist for Welex. He studied at Sam Houston State University and continued his career as a machinist. Doug has more than 40 years experience in the field. In his free time he enjoys Aggie football and RV trips with his wife and two grandsons.
SWY Machine is a small shop dedicated to precision CNC machining and manual machining services in the oil and gas industry. We are able to work with all types of alloys, plastics and metals including Hastelloy, Inconel and Incoloy. In addition, SWY Machine offers inspection services using our state of the art inspection equipment.
Ryan Polasek's experience as a machinist began as a sophomore in high school (2007). He worked part-time for SWY Machine until he became the Shop Foreman upon graduation. He is proficient in all aspects of CNC and manual machining and use of inspection equipment. Ryan enjoys fishing and hunting in his free time.
